Strange New Worlds features work by German-based painters Johanna Flammer and Lorenzo Pompa, and Italian installation artist José Angelino, wherein the familiar dissolves into the surreal and the unknown emerges as a tantalising frontier. Each work becomes a portal, transporting the viewer into infinite realms where the laws of the real yield to the whims of creativity, and their represented forms come to embody an essence of otherness while still resonating with the yearnings of the human spirit.
