VCA / DMG AWARD Winner Announced: PIERS GREVILLE

December 5, 2018

We’re thrilled to announce that the winner of the VCA / DMG Award is PIERS GREVILLE. This week, Dominik attended the VCA Masters exhibition in Melbourne, selecting Greville as this year’s award recipient from 27 postgraduates. Working predominantly with the medium of painting, Greville’s practice examines how we think of our environment, stemming from a deeply personal enquiry of his urban existence and dwindling ecologies. Greville also won the David Richards Drawing Award thanks to the Ursula Hoff Foundation.

As part of the award, DMG will realise a solo show with the artist next year from 7-21 February 2019. VCA Director Professor Jon Cattapan says that the award provides a Masters student with an “incredible opportunity” to “test their work in a critical and professional environment,” making this “a most significant award for a student.”
