Dani Marti’s ‘Yellow Square’ has a vivid, almost kinetic surface of interwoven road reflectors. Dani’s signature reflector works create abstract ‘paintings’ that flirt with the viewer’s perception through the rhythms of colour interacting with light. The optical effect of the materials changing and rippling according to the movement of the viewer’s body and the light of the space feeds into an awareness of the act of looking. Marti references minimalism, the craft movement, and the sensuality of Baroque.
Since 1998, Marti has held over 40 solo exhibitions and has been extensively exhibited nationally and internationally, including in Singapore, Chile, Spain and across Australia.
