PETA CLANCY ‘The Reciprocity Factor: Photography, Country and Relationality’ Artist Talk at MPavilion

Peta Clancy will be participating in the artist panel discussion ‘The Reciprocity Factor: Photography, Country and Relationality’ at MPavilion on Friday 8th December from 6:30-8:00pm. The conversation will reflect on the historically violent uses of cameras within Australia’s colonial context. Each member from the collective will speak to an image of their choosing, creating space for the photographs to steer the conversation.

By interrogating traditional photography and art history practices, the roundtable will “place emphasis on the importance of positionality within practice and how this impacts the way we write about, make, and respond to photographs.” The discussion will allow for yarning and sharing to take place, with audience members invited to ask questions at the end.
