PETA CLANCY ‘Contemporary Photography’ Panel Discussion at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA)

September 20, 2023

Peta Clancy will be participating in a conversation on ‘Contemporary Photography: process, practice and place’ on Saturday 22nd September in the MCA Lecture Theatre from 6:00 – 7:30pm. Co-presented by MCA Australia and the Power Institute, the panel will consider how contemporary artists engage with photography’s troubled relationship to land, place and Country, and how they use photographic technologies and practices to envision different relationships between people and places.

Peta Clancy is a descendant of the Bangerang people from south-eastern Australia, her photographic works explore hidden histories of colonisation and events that threatened the survival of her ancestors.
