PETA CLANCY AND CLAUDIA TERSTAPPEN ‘PHOTO 2024 International Festival of Photography’

December 6, 2023

Peta Clancy and Claudia Terstappen have been selected to participate in the ‘PHOTO 2024 International Festival of Photography Program’.

Peta will be featured as part of the group show ‘Future River: When the past flows (Indoors)’ at the Counihan Gallery from 03.02. – 28.04.24. Claudia will be featured as part of the group show ‘Edge of Elsewhere’ at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery from 01.03. – 24.03.24 which explores the thematic strands of environmental and social futures, considering potential scenarios and the impact of our actions, and shared concerns around the global climate catastrophe, the Anthropocene, environmental degradation and the social implications. Claudia’s photographic work focuses on the rapidly shrinking habitats from the demands of an ever-growing population, prompting us to stop and consider both the beauty and vulnerability of our animal life which “have evolved over eons to survive harsh environmental conditions, but which have no escape from speeding cars. Is this a harbinger of our own future?”
