Meng-Yu Yan residency at Cité Internationale des Arts and awarded the Ross Steele Scholarship

August 15, 2018

Meng-Yu Yan has received the Ross Steele Scholarship for International Exchange in Art & Design from the University of NSW, which provides artists the opportunity to develop and extend their practice overseas. Yan is a photomedia artist based in Sydney, best known for their creation of mystical dreamscapes and haunting self-portraits that challenge the idea of the photograph existing only in two-dimensions.

Yan has also been selected for a 3 month residency at the Cité Internationale Des Arts in Paris next year. Providing studio space to professional artists who wish to develop their practice, the Cité houses a culturally diverse selection of artists from up to 50 countries in its 324 studios. Bon voyage Meng!
