MENG-YU YAN Finalist in the North Sydney Art Prize

Meng-Yu Yan has been announced as a finalist in the North Sydney Art Prize 2024 for their work ‘Double Parallax’, created in collaboration with Anna May Kirk. The work features twin optical sculptures that interplay glass, shadow and light to recreate a parallax effect: the changing perception of an object in relation to its background, based on the position and movement of a viewer.

The North Sydney Art Prize is a major biennial arts event showcasing some of the best in contemporary art by emerging, mid-career and established artists from across Australia. The finalist exhibition will be held from 11.05. – 2.06.24 in The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton.
