ISIDRO BLASCO ‘Surface Detail’ at La Lonja del Pescado

Isidro Blasco’s solo show ‘Surface Detail’ is currently being exhibited at La Lonja del Pescado in Alicante, Spain, from 16.09. – 27.11.22. The show includes 6 large-scale sculptural works and a collection of models, ceramics, and preparatory drawings. Several of the works have previously been exhibited at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum and the Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center in Madrid.

The artist explores the complex relationship between the illusionistic nature of painting and the physical presence of sculpture and a tension between structure and chaos, the social and the domestic, and the public and the private is carefully maintained throughout his practice.
