EM INGRAM-SHUTE  ‘Sculpture by the Sea’ at Bondi

October 18, 2023

Em Ingram-Shute’s work ‘No Colour in War’ is currently being exhibited as part of Sculpture by the Sea along the coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama Beach, from 20.10. – 06.11.2023. The sculpture seeks to connect with the tragedy of the Ukrainian invasion and raise awareness of their plight through the deconstruction of anti-tank obstacles’ original form. The vibrant colours juxtapose the stark violence of the political landscape across the world today.

With beautiful views of the coastline in conjunction to formidable works of art, this year the exhibition is the largest free to the public sculpture exhibition in the world. A transformed 2km strip of coast is turned into a sculpture park with works from over 100 artists from Australia and across the world.

On Saturday 21st October, Ingram-Shute will also be giving a talk hosted by Kristen Hay at 2 p.m. (AEST) in Tamarama Park.
