Sara Morawetz Finalist in the 2019 Ravenswood Art Prize

Sara Morawetz’s ‘Acts of Inexactitude’ has been featured as a finalist in the 2019 Ravenswood Art Prize, which concluded on Sunday 9 June. The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is an annual prize that platforms emerging and established female artists in Australia. Sara’s practice explores the processes that underpin scientific action, testing and toying with methods of observation, experimentation and standardisation. Her work ‘Acts of Inexactitude’ brings together video and charcoal traces on paper as a document of her repetitive attempts to measure a metre from sight alone. Sara will be exhibiting a survey of her works titled ‘Principa’ at DMG this December.
