Peta Clancy has been awarded significant funding through the Visual Arts, Craft and Design Framework (VACDF), a prestigious national initiative designed to support the creation of new work by leading Australian contemporary artists. This is supported by Creative Australia.
Peta is known for her deeply contemplative photographic and installation-based practice that explores hidden histories and the Australian landscape, and will use the support to develop a major new body of work in the lead-up to a solo institutional exhibition in 2027.
Administered under the VACDF – a program that fosters innovation and champions the professional development of artists across Australia – this funding will enable Peta to expand the scale, scope and impact of her practice. The initiative supports large-scale new commissions, providing artists with critical resources to pursue bold creative visions that contribute to the vibrancy of Australia’s contemporary visual arts sector.
