NATASHA WALSH Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship 20th anniversary exhibition

April 18, 2019

As the winner of the 2018 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship, Natasha Walsh is currently showing three oil on copper works in ‘The Whiteley at 20: Twenty Years of the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship’ at S.H. Ervin Gallery. This exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Scholarship, bringing together works by previous recipients as well as the four paintings by Brett Whiteley that secured him the Italian Government Travelling Scholarship (displayed together for the first time since 1959). Natasha’s works ‘A minute til midnight’, ‘The scent of rain’ and ‘Dear Frida’ will be on display until 5 May 2019.

Natasha’s oil on copper painting ‘numb to touch’ was also a semi finalist in the BP Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in London. From almost 3,000 entires, this work was selected for the top 100 works, just missing out on the final 45 selected for exhibition. DMG will be exhibiting new works by Natasha Walsh in her solo show at the end of this year from 5 – 21 December.
