Lottie Consalvo exhibiting in Video Contemporary

Curated by Kelly Gellatly, Video Contemporary showcases a groundbreaking and diverse selection of moving image works by artists at the forefront of contemporary art. Two video works by Lottie Consalvo, ‘I Tried To Make A Horizon For You’ and ‘I Put It Here So You Could Find It’, will be exhibited as part of this exciting program. Her most recent works contemplate the ungraspable nature of the horizon line and it’s endless, enigmatic existence. She aligns its presence with the inability to give dimensions to moments of internal shift or perhaps the central desire of all longings: contentment.

Consalvo’s videos will also be broadcast on a dedicated channel screening on televisions in Sydney Contemporary’s partner hotel the Old Clare. DMG will also exhibit Lottie’s photographic work drawn from these two videos as well as materials from the performances recorded, which you can find in booth E08.
