LOCUST JONES Finalist in the Paul Guest Prize

Locust Jones has been selected as a finalist in the Paul Guest Prize at Bendigo Art Gallery in Victoria, with the exhibition running from 30.11.24 – 27.01.25 The biennial prize seeks to showcase and encourage contemporary drawing practice in Australia and was initiated by former Family Court Judge and Olympic rower, Paul Guest.

On his finalist work, Locust says: “This was the first drawing I completed once I arrived home from a 6-week artist residency in Kyoto, Japan where I was living surrounded by temples and Shinto Buddhist priests-this environment of peace and tranquillity had a profound impact.”
