KATIE WEST Student workshop at TarraWarra Museum of Art

Katie West presents beautiful and important work in her solo show ‘Clearing’ at the TarraWarra Museum of Art. The artist recently accompanied 40 students from the Victorian College of the Arts on a tour of the show and will do a fabric dyeing workshop for students next week. Katie uses natural dyeing processes to re-embody seasonal knowledge and creates meditative, socially-based installations to open up conversations in which indigenous voices dominate. The artist will be holding a solo show at DMG in August 2019.
