Katie West feature in Art Collector’s ‘Debutantes’ section

Yindjibarndi artist Katie West features in this year’s ‘Debutantes’ section of Art Collector magazine, which looks at artists who held their inaugural exhibition at a commercial gallery last year. As the 2017 winner of the DMG/VCA Award, Katie’s meditative solo show in February 2018 ‘muhlu garrwarn / cool time hot time’ saw her headline this section of promising artists. Kate Britton describes her as “refreshingly measured, sensitive and unafraid to engage with the complexity of ecological thinking.” Keep an eye out for Katie’s upcoming solo show at DMG in July 2019.
