JON CATTAPAN AND LOCUST JONES Finalists in the National Works on Paper 2026

May 6, 2026

Jon Cattapan and Locust Jones have been announced as finalists in the National Works on Paper 2026.

Presented by the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, the National Works on Paper has, for more than fifty years, offered a vital survey of contemporary Australian art while celebrating the enduring and evolving possibilities of paper as a medium. Recognised as one of the country’s leading art awards, the biennial exhibition attracts many of Australia’s most significant and innovative practitioners working across drawing, printmaking, collage, and interdisciplinary approaches to paper.

The 2026 edition continues this legacy, with 68 artists selected from a highly competitive national field of entries.

The finalist exhibition on view at Mornington Peninsular Gallery from 5 September – 22 November 2026.
