JANET LAURENCE Finalist in the Bowness Photography Prize

Janet Laurence has been selected as a finalist in the Bowness Photography Prize for her photography series ‘Ice has a memory, and the memory is blue’. The prize is an important annual survey of contemporary photographic practice in Australia and one of the most prestigious prizes in the country. Janet’s selected work was created during an AAD Fellowship at Casey Station, Antartica, in January 2022 and will be exhibited at the Monash Gallery of Art from 29.09. – 13.11.22Read more.

Janet will be in conversation on 29.10.22 from 2-3pm with the MGA Director, Anouska Phizacklea, fellow finalist, Kiron Robinson, and winner, Amos Gebhardt. The panel discussion will explore each artist’s diverse practice and exhibited work. RSVP here.
