Isidro Blasco’s work ‘Solo a Dos Voces’ will be featured at the Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art in Spain from 4 July until 27 December 2019. This site-specific installation is inspired by the artistic practices of his father, Arcadi Blasco, whose own works are included in the Museum’s permanent collection.
‘Solo a Dos Voces’ is a recreation of the space that surrounds it, as if it were searching for a new equilibrium. A space within the same space, the installation challenges and shifts perspective; reworking and abstracting the museum’s structure. The work traverses architecture, photography and sculpture as photographs of the museum are reworked and formed into a technicolour alternate reality.
