February 12, 2015

Helen Pynor’s 2010 work ‘Liquid Ground 1’ has been chosen as the lead image for the upcoming launch of the new Reading Room and refurbished building of Wellcome Collection, London.

The photographic print, which was exhibited at the DOMINIK MERSCH GALLERY in Pynor’s 2010 ‘Liquid Ground’ show, has been selected to feature on the Collection’s event invitation, and has received a double page spread in the corresponding catalogue.

The image has also and across the Wellcome Collection website.

The Wellcome Collection’s newly refurbished Reading Room has been transformed into a hybrid gallery, library and events space with over a thousand books and 100 objects, including contemporary sculptures, paintings, medical artefacts and manuscripts.

With strong influences from the biological sciences, Helen Pynor’s work is a perfect match for the Room’s dedication to curiosity and learning.
