Helen Pynor and Peta Clancy at Hanshan Art Museum in Suzhou

December 7, 2018

Helen Pynor and Peta Clancy’s collaborative installation ‘The Body is a Big Place’ is currently on exhibition at Hanshan Art Museum as part of the touring Beijing Media Art Biennale. One of the largest works in the Biennale, the installation explores the experience and technology of organ transplantation and the ambiguous life-death boundary.

As an international academic platform to promote the intersection of art and technology, this year’s Biennial explores the rapid development of biomedical technologies, artificial intelligence and robots, and how the ancient concept of ‘life’ is being continuously expanded in the post-human context. This installation will be on display until 24 December 2018.
