Gregor Schneider’s iconic ’21 Beach Cells’ will feature within the ‘Making art public’ exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. The project saw Schneider construct 21 giant cages on Bondi Beach containing amenities for beach-goers. Schneider’s work focuses on creating architectural environments that evoke a dark individual or collective psyche. The AGNSW exhibition will survey the rich history of Kaldor Public Art Projects through photographs, reconstructions and materials from past projects, and runs until 16 February next year.
