Gary Deirmendjian public art installation at Parko Techni 2019

Gary Deirmendjian has been selected as a featured artist in the Parko Techni 2019 Public Art series at Sydney Olympic Park. Gary’s work ‘Silver Cascade’ will be on display from 1 July – 31 October 2019 and is one of four new public art installations which each respond to their unique surroundings.

‘Silver Cascade’ is a site specific intervention of high kinetic and light sensitivity, presenting an outpouring of shimmery silver runoff that is activated by breeze and light, cascading in great volume down the façade of the P1 car park. Reminiscent of a wall covered in ivy, or perhaps a running waterfall, ‘Silver Cascade’ lies at the intersection of nature and technology.
