‘The Graceful Exit’ is a group show that takes its title from a cosmological problem of the 1980s, where physicists were wrestling with how the violent inflation of all matter, space and light became the universe we know today. This attempt to observe the invisible moment when the world cohered is taken up by 6 artists through text works, video, paintings and magnetic installation. In this show, we witness their encounters with chaos and infinity, distilled into refined forms or continuing to free-wheel across space.
‘The Graceful Exit’ features works by Julian Day, Emma Fielden, Clemens Krauss, Tina Havelock Stevens, Tim Johnson, Locust Jones and Dani Marti.
NB: Elger Esser’s scheduled solo show has been postponed until December 2021.
