Oliver Abbott is an emerging Australian artist whose practice focuses on the act of recollection as a creative process in which stored fragments of information are used to support new constructions. Drawing on personal histories of lived spaces and navigating constructed virtual landscapes, the artist re-engages with remembered and, in effect, distorted architectures. His approach is informed by a background in filmmaking and animation, as well as a long-standing interest in the built environment.
