As we reflect on the year 2024 and look forward to the exciting possibilities of 2025, we are delighted to present the exceptional artworks of Clemens Krauss.

Krauss’ works explore the psychological dynamics of society and their effects on both individual and collective consciousness. He explains, “Social collectives are formed through physical human interactions. My current work focuses on the frictions and inherent fault lines within these social structures.” With a meticulous approach, Krauss creates open spaces, painting scenes that blend clinical precision with sensitive insight. His figures, often rendered in a thick, dynamic style, inhabit expansive negative spaces, engaging in interactions that invite ambiguity and reflection. Notably, Krauss trained as a medical doctor and psychoanalyst before studying art at the Berlin University of the Arts, which deeply influences his multifaceted work.

This exhibition highlights Krauss’ exploration of new and old themes examining how people navigate social environments whilst utilising techniques ranging from bold impasto paintings to unique sculptural pieces. It stands as a testament to his artistic depth, showcasing both grandiose canvases and more intimate pieces.

“Social collectives are constituted by physical human interactions; the interaction of bodies. Starting from the human body, friction(s) and predetermined breaking lines within social structures are the core interest of my current work.”
