Gary Deirmendjian, ‘out of existence–ii’, 2005-06, bisque fired ceramic coated with Indian ink, 75 x 75 x 60 cm

Gary Deirmendjian is a sharp observer of the present, finding pockets of unsettling beauty through different media, including sculpture, installation, photographs and video work. Friend and artist John Adair describes his works as “a poetic response; often dark, melancholic, but not without hope,” and advises that Gary’s works are “less about looking at them and more about wandering in and around them.”
