ERICA SECCOMBE at VIVID SYDNEY

May 31, 2014

ERICA SECCOMBE is speaking at VIVID SYDNEY on May 31st at the MCA.

ARTISTS IN RESIDNECE: COLLABORATION AND CREATIVE INNOVATION BETWEEN ARTISTS AND ORGANISATIONS

How can artists bring new perspectives to established processes? How do interventions from creative thinkers offer new insights?

As an artist, institution or a business, how can you set a framework for fruitful cross-disciplinary collaboration? How can bringing fresh eyes into your organisation to spark challenging conversations and tackle concepts that are usually too tough to explore?

Discover new models of artist-in-residence programs with collaboration at their core, and learn about the mutual benefits for artists, organisations and communities. Synapse is a residency program that enables collaboration between artists and scientists, with a focus on long-term benefits. Hear past and present Synapse artists and their host organisations speak about their experiences of collaborative research and its ongoing reach: resulting in new products, events and systems.

This session will be moderated by Australian Network for Art & Technology (ANAT) Director Vicki Sowry.

Presented in partnership with ANAT.
