ELGER ESSER ‘Giovanni Fattori 1825-1908’ at XNL Piacenza, Italy

Elger Esser is featured in a major exhibition at XNL Piacenza, Italy, entitled ‘Giovanni Fattori 1825-1908’ from 29.03. – 29.06.25, celebrating the bicentenary of Giovanni Fattori: one of the figureheads of nienteenth-century European naturalism. The exhibition concludes with an area dedicated to the contemporary, where Elger’s photographic work offers a unique visual reflection on the dynamic development of art. “This encounter between distant eras enriches the exhibition with a new perspective, creating a bridge between the past and the present that amplifies the value of the artistic experience proposed by XNL.”

Elger will also be featured in an artist talk on 16th May at 6:30pm at Volumnia, Piacenza, reflecting on his contemporary dialogue with Giovanni Fattori and the reactivation of historical memory.
