BELLA LA SPINA Finalist in the Lloyd Rees Emerging Artist Award at Gallery Lane Cove

Bella La Spina has been selected as a finalist in the Lloyd Rees Emerging Artist Award at Gallery Lane Cove.

This biennial award, established in 1981, is a national prize dedicated to supporting and promoting emerging Australian artists, providing them with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience and connect with the art community.The opening event and winner announcements will be on Friday 5th December, with the finalist exhibition continuing until 20th December 2025.

Bella’s practice is grounded in a deeply considered exploration of memory, history and erasure. Working across analog printmaking, photography and sculptural assemblage, she uses translucent materials – such as silk organza – and archival traces to confront what lies beyond formal record.
