ANNE ZAHALKA Finalist in the Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize

Anne Zahalka has been announced as a finalist in the 2024 Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize for her work ‘Reef Theatre with Ethel King’. The prize seeks to showcase innovative works that explore the theme of the environment, with an aim to inspire action toward a sustainable future. Anne’s finalist work digitally disrupts archival photographs of Australian habitat displays and dioramas from natural history museums, subverting their fixed narratives and reflecting on the changing relationship between people and the natural world.

The work will be featured in an exhibition at Manly Art Gallery and Museum from 02.08. – 25.08.24.
